We are looking for a motivated Traffic Analyst to support our team in Santiago. The traffic person oversees the whole logistic chain in which our commodity products are involved from mine to consumer in line with its marketing strategy. The contract execution and its proper handling is a priority and a must ensure that the entire commercial process is carried out efficiently.

We look for people with a high proactivity level with the aim to improve our processes, develop a logistic market intelligence and a outstanding control and overview of all our marketing-logistics operations in Chile.

 

Experience and Skills

  • A solid educational background in engineering, business, logistics, commercial, or similar.
  • 3-4 years of working experience in logistics and import/export administration in the commodity/mining industry.
  • Efficient and well-organized with attention to details
  • High level of proactivity
  • Good team player with ability to integrate and work in a multicultural team and environment
  • Ability to work flexible hours and adapt to changing business needs.
  • Good know-how in using MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Advanced English

 

Responsabilities

  1. Organization and monitoring of shipments for assigned contracts.
  2. Direct contact with traders for opening, writing, contracts execution and constant brainstorming to improve our overall performance in the marketing area.  
  3. Daily contact with producers, customers and field offices, invoicing, payments, client exposure control and claim handling.
  4. Daily contact with ship brokers, agents, warehouses, ports, trucking companies, surveyors and any other potential relevant source of information related to the miner-logistic market in the country.
  5. Opening of Letters of Credit and negotiating documents for collection of payment.
  6. Booking and recording shipments in our in-house ERP system, which is the base for the correct handling of our commercial agreements.
  7. Dealing with accounting about bookings, monthly closing tasks and file liquidation
