Mutanda Mining (MUMI S.A.R.L) is a mining company whose registered office is at No. 4746, Avenue Laurent Désiré Kabila, Mutoshi District, Manika Commune, City of Kolwezi. Its operating headquarters, the center of its main activities, is located about 42 km from the city of Kolwezi in the province of Lualaba in the Democratic Republic of Congo.
MUMI S.A.R.L is an open-pit mining site used for the extraction of copper and cobalt ores. Mutanda Mining has a hydrometallurgical plant and a sulfuric acid manufacturing plant.

Main objectives of the position
Under the direct supervision of the General Manager - Human Resources, the incumbent will be responsible for the management and optimization of compensation and benefits policies. This role is essential to ensure the fairness and competitiveness of the compensation packages offered by the company, while taking into account the regulations in force and the company's strategic objectives.
Minimum qualification
- Bachelor's degree in economics, finance, accounting, human resources, or similar discipline.
- Excellent knowledge of legislation and salary regulations.
Required Experience
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in the field of compensation and benefits.
- Experience in the use of the payroll system, SAP.
Required skills
- Knowledge of Hay's job evaluation methodologies is an asset.
- Ability to interpret salary data and identify market trends in order to strategically adapt compensation policies.
- Fluency in English is essential.
- Strong time management and project planning skills.
- Great attention to detail.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and treat sensitive information with discretion.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the primary point of contact for the Human Resources Department with respect to compensation and benefits matters, providing timely advice and support.
- Participate in wage and labour market surveys to determine prevailing rates of pay and benefits.
- Analyze salary data and market trends in order to evaluate and adapt the company's compensation policies.
- Advise the human resources department on compensation and benefits issues, proposing solutions tailored to the needs of the company and its employees.
- Develop and maintain competitive compensation and benefits systems to attract and retain high-calibre employees.
- Ensure compliance with compensation and benefits regulations, ensuring that the company's practices comply with applicable labor laws.
- Conduct regular pay equity audits.
- Work with the Recruitment Department to ensure that all job descriptions are up to date.
- Evaluate new and existing positions to determine appropriate classification and salary levels.
- Make sure that the company's job classification remains relevant over time.
- Stay up-to-date on compensation and benefits laws, regulations, and industry trends.
- Comply with Glencore's environmental management requirements and procedures as well as MUMI SARL's environmental policy
