Glencore Copper is seeking a Senior Process Geomet to lead and standardize geometallurgical practices across our Copper operations and projects, with a focus on Kamoto Copper Company and Mutanda Mining in the DRC. This role will be based in our Maidenhead office in England and will provide strategic technical leadership across studies, projects, and operations.

This team plays a pivotal role in delivering best-practice operational performance and long-term strategy at our assets while driving Glencore’s ambitious growth agenda. The Opportunity
- The Senior Process Geomet is accountable for implementing geometallurgical standards across Glencore’s Copper operating sites and development projects, focusing on:
- Embedding Glencore Copper Processing Technical Standards (Geometallurgy, Metal Accounting, Orebody Characterization).
- Leading the planning, execution, and governance of Geometallurgical study programs.
- Supporting greenfield and brownfield expansions and optimizing performance of operating assets.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development, rollout, and governance of Geometallurgical Standards, Guidelines, and Reporting.
- Provide geometallurgical support to studies, projects, and operations (with a focus on the DRC region).
- Define and manage ore characterization programs and metallurgical laboratory testwork.
- Develop geometallurgical block models to support Life of Asset planning.
- Implement technical systems for data collection, modeling, and prediction of metallurgical performance.
- Coordinate with Technical Study Managers, Mining, Geology, and Processing teams.
- Conduct site visits to DRC operations (Kamoto and Mutanda) as required.
- Identify best practices, standardize methodologies, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Mentor and coach site-based technical teams.
- Support technical due diligence and project reviews.
Operating Context
- Implement Glencore Copper’s Geometallurgical Standards and Best Practices.
- Maintain Geometallurgical Technical Systems / Frameworks.
- Conduct Geometallurgical reviews and support technical tollgate assessments.
- Work closely with exploration, mining, geology, and metallurgical functions to integrate geometallurgy into the resource-to-market value chain.

Your Training, Skills & Expertise
- Bachelor’s Degree in Metallurgy, Mineral Processing, Geology, or a related discipline.
- 10+ years’ experience in metallurgical and/or geometallurgical roles, preferably within copper operations.
- Strong technical expertise in Geometallurgy, Process Mineralogy, and Metallurgical Modelling.
- Proficiency in Geometallurgical and Mass Balance software tools.
- Demonstrated experience in developing geometallurgical models for mine planning and project studies.
- Strong business acumen and ability to influence technical and operational decision-making.
- Exceptional written and oral communication skills.
- Bilingual in French/English is an advantage.
- Willingness to travel regularly to the DRC.
