Job Description
Reporting directly to the Milling Maintenance Manager, the incumbent will be responsible for ensuring the planning, scheduling, resourcing and an effective execution of all shutdowns in crushing and concentrator.
He/She will have, among other things, the following essential functions (non-exhaustive list):

Ensure and verify that quality shutdown schedules and resourcing is done accurately

Focus on continuous improvement strategies and implementation to ensure production improvements are delivered

Ensure to have shutdown planning process flow is followed by all team members
-
Ensure shutdown execution and tracking is done during the shutdown with the help of S- Curves and updates sent to stake holders

Verify and approve for distribution developed work packages, QAQC plans, Rigging cranage mapping, scaffolding mapping.

During execution of the shutdown, monitor and manage all elements of the shutdown, including Safety, Environmental, Security, Cost, Schedule, Inspection and Work Quality

Ensure that a process for controlling scope changes is in place. This includes ensuring that any post-cutoff date changes to scope or schedule are approved by the appropriate authority.

Complete a post-shutdown evaluation, recommending changes to procedures, standards, practices and ways of working.

Ensure to organize extra labor resources when there is labor shortfall for the shut.

Manage shutdown labour support contract effectively.

Manage developing the MEC calendar and lead MEC meetings on a weekly basis

Ensure to have a shut Postmortem and shut effectiveness reports after shutdowns

Ensure to have zero incidents during shutdowns and VFLs and HRWV on critical tasks is done during shuts

Manage follow up QAQC inspections and QAQC packages on identified tasks

Manage shutdown readiness before shut

Manage all shutdowns related meetings

Manage shutdown walkdowns for work identifications

Challenge shutdown scope durations from execution
-
Performs any other related duties that may be assigned by supervisor.
Job Requirements
Qualifications and experience

Bachelor’s degree/Diploma in engineering in a relevant field or equivalent relevant

Valid driver’s license

Medically fit

Certification in project management will be an advantage
