 Kamoto Copper Company Société Anonyme, KCC SA in acronym, is a Congolese company operating in Kolwezi, capital of the province of Lualaba, in the Democratic Republic of the Congo.

Reporting directly to the Planning & Improvement Manager, KTC, the incumbent will be responsible for ensuring that equipment and processes meet quality standards throughout the maintenance lifecycle. This includes planning, executing, and documenting maintenance activities, as well as verifying the quality of repairs and ensuring compliance with regulations and standards.

 

He/She will have, among others, the following essential functions (non-exhaustive list):

 

·       Provide training and support to maintenance personnel on quality standards and procedures;

·       Maintain accurate records of inspections and maintenance, document quality issues and resolutions, and prepare reports on quality performance.

·       Assist employees to ensure knowledge of all quality standards, ensure compliance with all quality manuals and procedures, and collaborate with contractors and suppliers to maintain the quality of all systems.

·       Manage all work methods, maintain knowledge of quality assurance standards, monitor the ongoing application of all quality assurance processes and corrective actions for all operations.

·       Oversee the effective implementation of all testing and inspection schedules, ensure compliance with all procedures and coordinate with various teams to conduct quality audits on processes.

·       Develop and determine all standards for performing inspections and testing on all procedures, oversee all testing methods and maintain high quality standards for all processes.

·       Manage relationships with suppliers of parts, services and equipment to ensure their quality compliance.

·       Participate in Audits and Inspections: The Superintendent will be actively involved in internal and external audits, verifying maintenance practices and quality performance. This helps ensure compliance with standards and suggest improvements where necessary.

·       Ensuring equipment reliability and maintenance efficiency: This includes managing key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess equipment reliability and the efficiency of maintenance activities, with the objective of reducing costs and improving response times.

Job Requirements

 

Qualifications and experience

·       Hold a Bachelor's Degree (Bac +5), in mechanical, electrical, industrial engineering or in a related technical field;

·       Have a minimum of 7 years of professional experience in QAQC (Quality Assurance and Control) or reliability engineering in a complex and multinational mining environment;

·       Good level in French and technical English;

Technical skills .

 

·  Strong expertise in strategic maintenance planning and equipment performance optimization.

·       Mastery of quality assurance methods in the mining sector.

·       Solid knowledge of quality standards (ISO 9001, API, ASME, etc.).

·       Experience in computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).

·       Proficiency in fault diagnosis tools (RCM, FMEA, etc.).

·      Skills in audit management, inspections and compliance management.

·       Extensive knowledge of mining equipment, particularly for copper and cobalt processes.
