Kamoto Copper Company Société Anonyme, KCC SA in acronym, is a Congolese company operating in Kolwezi, capital of the province of Lualaba, in the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
KCC SA exploits copper and cobalt ores on a large scale. It includes an underground mine, open-pit mines and integrated metallurgical facilities. The operation has one of the largest copper reserves in the world, with a current life of over 25 years.

Job description.
Under the direct supervision of the Asset Reliability General Manager, the incumbent will be responsible for developing plans and specifications, performing analyses and preparing reports on assigned tasks related to the design and construction of new facilities or the operation and maintenance of existing facilities. He/she will be technically involved in resolving equipment and operational problems, which may include field investigations or inspections, design work, detailed verification of design calculations performed by others, or general coordination of specific design aspects within a project.
He/She will have, among other things, the following essential functions (non-exhaustive list):
- Promote a culture of security within the engineering team, by raising awareness of the importance of security and ensuring that all security measures are implemented and documented. This includes conducting security audits, training staff and resolving security issues.
- Create, update and maintain engineering standards, policies and procedures, drawing on internal and external resources. This includes defining quality requirements, establishing quality controls for designs, repairs, work stoppages, preventive maintenance and projects.
- Ensuring the quality of engineering work by implementing an effective quality management system. This includes reviewing and critiquing proposed changes to engineering standards, policies and procedures, as well as verifying compliance of development plans with adopted engineering standards and good engineering practices.
- Providing technical support, coaching and advising engineering teams, and leading them in solving complex problems. This includes problem solving and developing original solutions, drawing on extensive research and technical expertise.
- Plan, prioritize, lead and direct projects and cases related to the implementation of metrics, processes and procedures. This may also include managing development, repair or maintenance projects.
- Communicate with regulatory bodies, government agencies, and other departments, divisions, or organizations. This involves sharing information, coordinating activities, and collaborating with other stakeholders.
- Monitor compliance with engineering standards, policies and procedures, and applicable regulations. This may include conducting audits and inspections, collecting field data, and analyzing results.
- Promote continuous improvement of engineering processes and practices. This may involve identifying improvement opportunities, implementing new technologies, and training staff.
