Job description.

 

 

Under the direct supervision of the Visa Service Supervisor , the main objective of the post holder will be to ensure that all KCC expatriate agents, as well as contractors, can work legally and compliantly on Congolese soil, in accordance with the laws and regulations in force regarding the work of foreigners in the DRC.

 

 

He/She will have, among other things, the following essential functions (non-exhaustive):

 

 

•    Ensure the legality and regularity of the work of expatriate agents, contractors and visitors of KCC on Congolese soil.
•    Prepare visa application letters for KCC expatriate employees, visitors and contractors.
•    Prepare forms relating to the capture of expatriate agents at SYCAMORE for the printing of the biometric work card for foreigners.
•    Apply immigration rules and regulations to support KCC expatriate employees, contractors and visitors.
•    Collect and issue passports for KCC employees, contractors and visitors.
•    Maintain the immigration database of KCC agents as well as their contractors and expatriate visitors.
•    Collect various documents and forms from partners (DGM, DRLU, municipality, town hall, etc.).
•    Check the validity of documents (passports, work permits, resident cards, visas) and inform the line manager in the event of an anomaly.
•    Prepare documents relating to health insurance for Congolese KCC agents on mission abroad.
•    Report passport and visa issues when assisting passengers at airports or road checkpoints.
•    Ensure the security of passports to avoid loss.
•    Maintain payment requests for immigration and work permits and archive evidence (physical and electronic).
•    Store and track passport and visa information (word processing, PDF, Excel, shared Drive database).
•    Establish and maintain an efficient filing system (physical and electronic) for documents relating to immigration and expatriate work.
•    Perform any other assigned tasks related to his/her skills and competencies.

 

 

Job requirements .


Qualifications and experience.

 

 

•    Hold a minimum of a University Diploma in Law, Economic and Social Sciences, management or similar disciplines;
•    Have at least three (3) years of professional experience in visa or immigration matters.
•    Experience in processing visa and work permit applications would be an asset.

 

 

Technical skills.

 


•    Proficiency in office tools (word processing, spreadsheet, presentation).
•    Knowledge of administrative procedures related to immigration in the DRC.
•    Knowledge of all the different types of visa applicable in the DRC;
•    Ability to use and manage a database.
•    Excellent skills in French and English, both oral and written.
•    Knowledge of another international language would be an asset.
