Job description.

 

 

Under the direct supervision of the Supply Chain Supervisor , the incumbent is responsible for performing various operations related to the management of the truck park. These include, but are not limited to, entering commercial and customs information into Orb Fusion, preparing proofs of delivery (PODs), dispatching trucks to unloading areas both in the Orb Fusion system and physically, signing proofs of delivery, and closing transactions in the system.

 

 

He/She will have, among other things, the following responsibilities (non-exhaustive):


•    Verify the accuracy of the information on the Manifest, Invoice and customs documents, then enter the data into Orb Fusion.
•    Analyze and detect any anomalies on delivery documents and report them to your line manager.

•    Confirm in the system whether the truck should be directed to the weighbridge or not.
•    Enter business information into Orb Fusion.
•    Ensure that the truck has been weighed (if it has to go through the weighbridge before unloading) and prepare the necessary documents for dispatching the truck to the unloading area.

•   Prepare the necessary documents for dispatching the truck for unloading, ensuring that the physical dispatch is completed before recording in the system.
•    Ensure that the physical dispatch of the truck is completed before the dispatch is recorded in the system.
•    Check for the presence of all stamps, signatures (Truck Park and unloading point) as well as the required documents (Manifest, Delivery Note, Weighbridge Tickets) before signing the proof of delivery (POD), closing the truck tracking number (TT) and authorizing the truck to leave the site.

•    Ensure that all tracking numbers corresponding to signed proofs of delivery are properly closed in the system.
 

 


Job requirements.


Qualifications and experience.

 

•    Hold a university degree in management (Economics, business or accounting) or equivalent;

•  Candidates must have a minimum of 4 years of operational experience in a logistics department (import-export, transit, customs clearance) within mining companies:
•    Experience in managing a fleet of trucks is required.

 

 

Technical skills.

 

•    Ability to speak French and English; complete fluency in English would be an asset for the candidate;
•    Mastering the use of computer tools (especially Excel);
•    Ability to learn, understand and interpret import manifests, customs documents and procedures;

•    Ability to learn and effectively use ERP systems such as SAP, ORB FUSION, KLERCKSACLE, etc.
