Mutanda Mining (MUMI S.A.R.L) is a mining company whose registered office is at No. 4746, Avenue Laurent Désiré Kabila, Mutoshi District, Manika Commune, City of Kolwezi. Its operating headquarters, the center of its main activities, is located about 42 km from the city of Kolwezi in the province of Lualaba in the Democratic Republic of Congo.
MUMI S.A.R.L is an open-pit mining site used for the extraction of copper and cobalt ores. Mutanda Mining has a hydrometallurgical plant and a sulfuric acid manufacturing plant.

Main objectives of the position
Under the direct supervision of the Talent Acquisition Superintendent, the Talent Acquisition Coordinator is responsible for managing the full recruitment lifecycle, from workforce need identification to onboarding. The incumbent ensures that Mutanda Mining attracts, selects, and retains the best available talent in alignment with business priorities, company values, and compliance standards. This role requires close collaboration with hiring managers, HR teams, and candidates to deliver an efficient, transparent, and candidate-centered recruitment process across all departments of MUMI.
Minimum qualification
- Possess a university degree in Human Resource Management, Industrial Psychology, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Postgraduate qualification or certification in Talent Acquisition, HR Management, or Psychometric Assessment is an added advantage.
Required experience
- Minimum of five (5) years of progressive experience in recruitment, talent acquisition, or HR coordination, preferably within the mining or industrial sector.
- Proven track record in sourcing, screening, and coordinating interviews for both technical and non-technical roles.
- Demonstrated experience using Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) such as SAP SuccessFactors, Oracle HR, or similar HR platforms.
- Previous exposure to employer branding and workforce diversity initiatives.
- Experience working with expatriate and local workforce populations in a multicultural environment.
Required skills
- Certification in Talent Acquisition, HR, or related professional field is desirable.
- Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
- High degree of confidentiality, integrity, and professionalism.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and HR data management systems.
- Knowledge of Congolese labor laws and ethical recruitment practices.
- Ability to manage multiple recruitment projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
- Fluency in French; proficiency in English is a strong asset.
Key responsibilities
- Drive end-to-end recruitment processes for assigned positions in alignment with approved workforce plans.
- Partner with hiring managers to identify staffing needs, draft job descriptions, and develop recruitment strategies.
- Manage candidate sourcing, job postings, screening, interview scheduling, offer creation and management, and onboarding of the new hire.
- Conduct preliminary interviews and coordinate with interview panels for final assessments.
- Ensure compliance with MUMI’s recruitment policies, labor legislation, and diversity and inclusion objectives.
- Maintain and update candidate databases, dashboards, and recruitment reports for management decision-making.
- Support employer branding activities, including participation in job fairs, university programs, and community outreach.
- Facilitate onboarding processes in collaboration with HR and departmental teams, ensuring timely completion of pre-employment checks.
- Comply with Glencore's environmental management requirements and procedures as well as MUMI SARL's enviromental policy.
