Job description.
Under the direct supervision of the Administration & Investigation Manager , the incumbent will ensure the optimal management of security-related resources, equipment and teams. He/She will supervise all integrated security assets (video surveillance, access control, alarms), ensure their proper functioning, maintenance and integration, and manage activities related to their life cycle. He/She will implement effective strategies to reduce risks and continuously improve the performance of the organization's security system.
He/She will have, among other things, the following essential functions (non-exhaustive):
• Provide technical guidance in asset and security systems management, lead a specialized team, develop strategies for integrating asset protection into operations, and promote a culture of continuous improvement.
• Ensure compliance with local and international regulations, identify risks related to security systems (including cyber vulnerabilities), and implement appropriate mitigation measures.
• Manage the entire asset lifecycle (purchase, installation, maintenance, upgrade, retirement), ensure their traceability and plan their preventive maintenance to avoid breakdowns and extend their lifespan.
• Ensure the interoperability of asset management systems with other organizational tools, and integrate new security technologies into the existing system while guaranteeing performance and compatibility.
• Work closely with the Operations, Security, Purchasing, Finance, IT and HSE departments, and ensure exchanges with regulatory bodies, auditors and suppliers.
• Identify and implement new technologies, recommend innovative security tools, regularly evaluate asset management processes and apply industry best practices (ISO standards, etc.).
• Deploy tools such as Power BI, Ciims and other dashboards, automate reports, integrate RFID, GPS tracking, and video analytics, and leverage data for strategic decision making.
• Establish rapid response mechanisms for asset-related incidents, develop contingency plans with the Security and HSE teams, and organize regular training and exercises.
• Lead and support the asset management team, provide training and development opportunities, and ensure alignment of team objectives with those of the organization.
Job requirements .
Qualifications and experience.
• Hold a bachelor's or master's degree in engineering (mechanical, electrical, industrial, or equivalent), computer science, asset management, or security. Professional certifications in asset management or a related field.
• Have at least 7 years of experience in integrated asset management systems or security management in the mining industry or other high-risk environments.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a leadership role or supervision of security teams.
• Extensive expertise in risk assessment, emergency response and crisis management.
Technical skills.
• reporting tools : Power BI, Tableau, SQL, SAP, Pronto and other data analysis software.
• Asset tracking technologies : RFID, GPS tracking, digital surveillance and predictive maintenance tools.
• Security management systems : integration of video surveillance (CCTV), access control and forensic investigation techniques.
• Data Analytics and Automation : Experience using artificial intelligence and machine learning for asset tracking.
• Fluency in English. Fluency in French or Swahili would be an advantage.
