Job Description
Reporting to the Transformation Management Office Manager , the incumbent will be responsible for coordinating, monitoring and reporting on capital forecast performance and compliance with procedures across the KCC project portfolio. He/she will provide support in coordinating capital project inputs throughout the business planning cycle. He/she will also maintain a strategic view of the capital portfolio, enabling business decisions to be made on key strategic elements.
He/She will have, among other things, the following responsibilities (non-exhaustive list):
• Ensure effective governance and reporting for the capital portfolio. Provide oversight and ongoing monitoring of key milestones and capital performance throughout the lifecycle of the portfolio projects.
• Coordinate to ensure transparency of exceptions to the capital plan. Establish early warning systems to flag deviations and trigger actions to address observed gaps.
• Support effective project performance monitoring and reporting across the capital project portfolio to increase transparency; enabling informed integrated control processes (costs, commitments, planning, change management) and strategic decision making.
• Proactively stay informed of changes in strategy that could have a major impact on the portfolio. Identify risks and issues that affect the achievement of strategic objectives and business benefits, and contribute to the improvement of policies, standards and processes.
• Collaborate with key cross-functional stakeholders to coordinate the development of an integrated capital portfolio delivery schedule.
• Monitor alignment of portfolios and programs with business strategy, through periodic planning and forecasting reviews with the Integrated Planning and Financial Planning and Analysis departments.
• Serve as the primary contact for portfolio stakeholders, and as an escalation point for capital project portfolio issues. Effectively communicate appropriate information to stakeholders in a timely manner to gain desired understanding and support, while managing expectations and relationships.
• Collaborate with Project Services, Project Controllers/PMO Leads and Finance to ensure that projects in the portfolio follow sound methodology and practices in line with industry best practices and KCC/ Glencore policies and procedures .
• Collaborate with key cross-functional stakeholders to coordinate development of an integrated capital portfolio delivery schedule.
• Proactively support asset lifecycle planning and budget cycles by maintaining a capital portfolio forecast that enables effective planning and decision making.
• Coordinate the implementation of the project capacity management program.
• Provide effective feedback and coaching to team members in the project environment.
• Proactively ensure effective working relationships within the team and with those the team interacts with.
• Provide guidance or support to temporary work teams, guiding and monitoring task completion, sharing knowledge and expert advice without assuming hierarchical responsibility.
Job Requirements
Qualifications and experience
• Have a university degree in business (Accounting, Finance, Economics, International Business Management, etc. ); business science (Supply Chain Management, Project Management, Business Data Analysis, Business Strategy, Entrepreneurship, etc. ); science (Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, etc. ); engineering (Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Industrial Engineering, etc. ) or similar field.
• Have at least 8 years of experience in project, program or capital management.
• Have at least 5 years of management and leadership experience at an intermediate level.
• Have an ONEM card.

• Project management methodologies and standards – PMBOK, Agile, etc.
• Cost, capital and financial management applications in project/program management environments.
• Project and portfolio management software – MS Project, Excel, SAP, SharePoint, Teams, PowerBI , etc.
