Kamoto Copper Company Société Anonyme, KCC SA in acronym, is a Congolese company operating in Kolwezi, capital of the province of Lualaba, in the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
KCC SA exploits copper and cobalt ores on a large scale. It includes an underground mine, open-pit mines and integrated metallurgical facilities. The operation has one of the largest copper reserves in the world, with a current life of over 25 years.

Job Description
Reporting directly to the Asset Protection Manager, the incumbent will be responsible for managing all security operations to protect KCC personnel, assets and operational integrity. This role involves implementing security measures, adhering to security protocols and ensuring operational readiness to address security risks in a high-risk mining environment.
He/She will have, among other things, the following essential functions (non-exhaustive list):
- Lead Asset Protection Operations and Responses. This includes overseeing the deployment and activities of security personnel, ensuring compliance with KCC security protocols. This includes coordinating and supervising on-site security personnel, monitoring access control, patrols and surveillance systems to ensure operational security.
- Manage Incident Responses and Investigations. This includes managing security incidents, including immediate responses and post-incident reviews. This includes responding to security incidents, ensuring rapid containment and resolution, as well as conducting investigations and preparing detailed reports for management review.
- Ensure Compliance and Governance. This includes compliance with internal policies, local laws and the Voluntary Principles on Security and Human Rights (VPSHR). This includes training security personnel on KCC security policies, emergency response protocols and VPSHR principles, as well as overseeing performance reviews and team development.
- Coordinate and Develop the Team. This includes leading and training security teams to maintain high operational standards and optimum readiness. This includes ensuring compliance with the KCC Code of Conduct and local regulatory requirements, as well as maintaining accurate records of incidents, patrols and security audits.
- Coordinate with Stakeholders . This includes building effective relationships with local law enforcement and community stakeholders to mitigate security risks. This includes collaborating with law enforcement, contractors, and local leaders to align security measures, as well as acting as a liaison between KCC and external security service providers.
Job Requirements
Qualifications and experience.
Demonstrate at least eight (8) years of professional experience in security operations, preferably in the mining sector or in high-risk environments.
