Reporting directly to the Manager Capital Procurement Specialist, the key role of the incumbent will be the effective implementation of procurement activities for capital projects (CAPEX) within KCC's processing department. This role focuses on the development and execution of contract strategies, particularly for EPC models and turnkey projects. The incumbent will ensure alignment with project execution objectives, cost control targets and regulatory compliance requirements, while managing various service delivery contracts across all phases of the project.

 

He/She will have, among other things, the following essential functions (non-exhaustive):

 

  • Develop and implement procurement strategies focused on EPC and turnkey contracts aimed at the realization of investment projects .
  • Draft, review and manage contracts throughout all phases of the project, including engineering, construction and commissioning.
  • Support the preparation and administration of high-value contracts for technical services, plant construction and equipment supply.
  • Ensure that contractual documentation and records are retained to facilitate auditing Project preparation and closure reports.
  • Collaborate with legal, engineering and project teams to ensure contracts are aligned with technical scope, risk profiles and business expectations;
  • Provide advice on contract structuring and negotiation to minimize risk and ensure efficient contract execution;
  • Monitor contract deliverables and service levels to ensure vendor performance meets project and business standards ;
  • Contribute to supplier selection processes and contract award recommendations in accordance with Glencore policies;
  • Ensure that contractual documentation and records are retained to facilitate auditing Project preparation and closure reports;
  • Oversee contract change management, variations and claim resolution throughout project execution.

 

 

Job requirements .

 

Qualifications and experience

 

  • Hold a University degree in Supply Chain Economics, Business Management or a related field. A certification in finance or financial analysis would be an asset;
  • Have at least 8 years of professional experience in procurement and contract management, with a strong focus on the delivery of capital projects in mining or heavy industrial environments.
  • Have proven expertise in the development and management of EPC and turnkey contracts.;
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Fluency in English; French is an asset for the candidate himself.
  • Have an ONEM card.

 

    

  Technical skills .

 

  • In-depth knowledge of tendering processes, contracting, strategic sourcing, analysis of technical and financial offers.
  • Good understanding of heavy industrial equipment, mining projects, engineering, international logistics,
  • Mastery of ERP tools (SAP, etc.) for managing orders, suppliers and contracts,
  • Advanced skills in commercial and contractual negotiation with local and international suppliers,
  • Ability to work in project mode, monitor deadlines, coordinate multiple stakeholders, etc.
