Kamoto Copper Company Société Anonyme, KCC SA in acronym, is a Congolese company operating in Kolwezi, capital of the province of Lualaba, in the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
KCC SA exploits copper and cobalt ores on a large scale. It includes an underground mine, open-pit mines and integrated metallurgical facilities. The operation has one of the largest copper reserves in the world, with a current life of over 25 years.

Job description.
Reporting directly to the Procurement Superintendent, the incumbent will be responsible for obtaining and managing the sources of supply required for KCC operations. This includes identifying suppliers offering the best services, defining and monitoring purchasing objectives in terms of quality, cost, value and reliability, as well as improving the efficiency and costs of purchasing within the KCC organization.
He/She will have, among other things, the following essential functions (non-exhaustive list):
- Identify and manage supply sources This includes identifying suppliers that offer the best services in terms of quality, cost, value and reliability. It also includes setting and monitoring purchasing objectives to improve purchasing efficiency and costs within the organization.
- Determine End User Needs This involves working closely with Caterpillar end users to determine their day-to-day needs and provide early insights into the procurement process. This also includes obtaining relevant quotes for sites and end users.
- Process Purchase Requisitions This involves receiving purchase requisitions from end users, ensuring they are completed and authorized in accordance with established SCM procedures.
- Handle queries and issues related to specific purchasing processes and procedures This involves answering all questions and resolving all issues related to Caterpillar/ Processing / Mining specific purchasing processes and procedures.
- Ensure requests are loaded into the appropriate systems This involves ensuring that the required requests are loaded into Orb-Fusion/SAP/Coupa and follow the required approval steps.
- Monitoring supplier performance This involves monitoring the performance of selected suppliers to ensure that deliveries meet contractual obligations and performance measures.
- Communicating with Suppliers This involves managing external communication with suppliers to facilitate understanding and awareness of the organization's strategic direction, changes and challenges.
- Collaborate with Purchasing Partners This involves collaborating with purchasing partners to review, report and revise contractual agreements as needed.
