Job description.
Under the direct supervision of the Administration Contract & Logistics Superintendent , the incumbent will be responsible for the management and effective utilization of resources, equipment and personnel within the department to support overall security operations. This will include coordinating all logistics activities, collaborating with various departments and ensuring the availability and optimal condition of security-related resources. He/She will ensure the procurement, storage and distribution of security equipment, vehicles and supplies in a timely and cost-effective manner, thus ensuring operational efficiency and security readiness at all times.
He/She will have, among other things, the following essential functions (non-exhaustive):
• Manage Resources and Equipment : Coordinate daily logistics operations, manage the supply, storage and maintenance of security equipment such as vehicles, uniforms and surveillance devices.
• Coordinate and Distribute : Manage the distribution of security equipment and resources to teams, as well as coordinate travel and accommodation for security personnel.
• Manage Inventories : Maintain stock and inventories, track equipment status and implement tracking systems to optimize stock levels.
• Collaborate with Other Departments : Coordinate with Security Management, HR, Purchasing and Finance to align logistics operations with security objectives and control budgets.
• Manage Suppliers and Partners : Manage relationships with external suppliers for the supply of security equipment, negotiate contracts and manage deliveries.
• Ensure Compliance and Safety : Ensure logistics activities meet legal and safety standards, collaborate with the health and safety team to ensure appropriate safety protocols.
• Manage Budget : Monitor the logistics budget, track expenses and report on budget performance and potential savings.
• Managing Crises and Emergencies : Provide logistical support during emergencies and develop contingency plans to deal with critical situations.
• Supervise and Develop the Team : Supervise the logistics team, provide training, motivation and promote continuous performance improvement.
Job requirements .
Qualifications and experience.
• Hold a university degree in logistics, supply chain management, business administration, security management or related field.
• Have a minimum of 5 years of experience in logistics management or a similar role, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or team management role.
• Have experience in supply chain management, distribution, and transportation operations, ideally in large-scale environments.
Technical skills.
• Logistics Management : Supervise and coordinate logistics operations to ensure efficient workflows.
• Resource Allocation and Distribution : Manage the distribution of resources and their availability based on operational needs.
