It also includes mentoring supervisors and operators to ensure a thorough understanding of good metallurgical practices .
• Monitor, analyze, and control metallurgical performance: Rigorously monitor key process performance indicators, analyze deviations, and ensure continuous control of metallurgical results. This includes daily data verification, preparation of in-depth analyses, identification of the causes of underperformance, and implementation of corrective actions. It also includes proactively communicating performance-related risks.
• Conduct metallurgical investigations and initiate corrective actions: Investigate any metallurgical deviation, identifying root causes through data analysis, field observations, and consultations with relevant teams. This includes defining corrective action plans, monitoring their implementation, and evaluating their effectiveness. It also includes rigorously documenting all investigations to ensure traceability.
• Initiate and supervise laboratory work for process improvement : Initiate, plan, and monitor laboratory testwork programs aimed at improving the process or validating technical hypotheses. This includes defining test protocols, coordinating with the laboratory, analyzing results, and formulating recommendations based on experimental data. It also includes proposing innovations or modifications to operational parameters.
• Recommend process and system improvements: Recommend operational improvements based on the interpretation of procedural data, test results, and field observations. This includes developing technical solutions to optimize recovery, concentrate quality, or operational efficiency. It also includes participating in modernization projects, technically evaluating new equipment, and contributing to continuous system improvement.
• Ensure and maintain metallurgical quality control standards : Ensure that internal and external quality control standards are met at all stages of the process. This includes validating sample quality, the reliability of analyses, compliance with specifications, and implementing corrective actions in case of non-conformity. It also includes raising staff awareness of the importance of metallurgical quality control.
