Job description
Reporting directly to the Planning Superintendent, the Senior Planner is responsible for ensuring that all CMMS planning activities are executed and maintained in accordance with KCC's maintenance strategy. The incumbent is also responsible for leading and managing planners across various operational areas.
His/Her responsibilities will include, among others (non-exhaustive list):
• Write, implement and oversee the effective reporting of key maintenance performance indicators.
• Develop and implement short- and medium-term maintenance system plans to achieve company objectives.
• Compile maintenance planning reports and manage the root cause analysis program, task lists, drawings, and maintenance and planning strategies.
• Training and development of planners.
• Assist in the adoption of maintenance work management processes.
• Assist planners in creating and scheduling maintenance work orders that allow for efficient use of resources.
• Provide all maintenance work plans and schedules.
• Ensure the effective management of notifications.
• Use maintenance work management KPIs to identify opportunities for improvement
• Ensure the development of the maintenance budget based on preventive and corrective maintenance strategies in SAP/AMT.
Job requirements
Qualifications and experience
• Have a university degree in mechanical, electrical or electromechanical engineering.
• Have at least 5 years of experience in plant maintenance, including 5 years in a planning supervisory role.
• Have knowledge and experience in maintenance systems and CMMS (computerized maintenance management).
Technical skills.
• Practical knowledge of workplace safety management;
• Ability to make data-driven decisions and recommendations;
• Computer skills required (MS Office);
• To be able to speak, read and write in French and English;
• Exceptional problem-solving and planning skills;
• Skills in supervising and coaching employees at different levels;
• To have a driver's license.
