Kamoto Copper Company Société Anonyme, KCC SA in acronym, is a Congolese company operating in Kolwezi, capital of the province of Lualaba, in the Democratic Republic of Congo.

KCC SA exploits copper and cobalt ores on a large scale. It includes an underground mine, open-pit mines and integrated metallurgical facilities. The operation has one of the largest copper reserves in the world, with a current life of over 25 years.

Job description

 

 

Under the direct supervision of the Project Coordinator , the incumbent will have the primary role of accurately and punctually planning and scheduling all project and maintenance elements to ensure that all project and maintenance activities are executed in accordance with the planned and scheduled resources and deadlines.

 


His/Her responsibilities will include, among others (non-exhaustive list):

 

•    Actively participate in planning exercises with the PMO;
•    Engage continuously with PMO members regarding project execution in accordance with agreed plans;
•    Ensure timely execution of work orders in the CMMS, including booking work hours, issuing materials and completing coding;

•    Identify and highlight inconsistencies and discrepancies with respect to project plans and schedules;
•    Organize and lead review meetings of outstanding work with key stakeholders, as needed.
•    Comply with the database nomenclature requirements

•    Provide reports and feedback to relevant stakeholders on maintenance items;
•    Maintain and update plans and schedules;
•    Proactively engage with relevant stakeholders regarding feedback and recommendations;

•    Establish and maintain effective partnerships with key stakeholders.
•    Perform any other tasks assigned by management related to his/her skills.

 

 

Job requirements 

 

Qualifications and experience

 

•    Hold a degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical or Electromechanical Engineering;
•    Have a degree in Electromechanical Engineering with at least 5 years of experience in a maintenance department;
•    Having knowledge of factory equipment;

•    In-depth knowledge of applicable legislation (in particular company law)
•    Auditing skills;
•    Knowledge of general mechanics, hydraulics, pneumatics, general electricity and power electronics;

•    Avoie la Maîtrise l’outil informatique et avoir compétence dans l’utilisation des produits Microsoft Office (Project, Excel, Word, Access , Viso) et autres logiciel que peut facilitaires des services;
•    Understanding Computer-Aided Maintenance Management (Ellipse, SAP, AMT)
•    Having control over spare parts supply chains;

•    Ability to communicate in French and English;

 


Technical skills.

 

•    Application of expertise and technology;
•    Planning and organization;

•    In-depth knowledge of applicable legislation (in particular the Companies Act);
•    In-depth knowledge of corporate governance and management;
•    Knowledge of the mining industry will be an asset;

•     Analytical with attention to detail;
•    Knowledge of the formulation and maintenance of the corporate governance framework (audit skills).
