Main objectives of the position
Reporting to the General Manager – Supply Chain, the Procurement Manager is responsible for leading and managing the end-to-end procurement lifecycle for operational goods and services across the business.
The incumbent provides strategic leadership in sourcing, tender management, commercial evaluations, supplier negotiations, contract administration, supplier governance, and procurement optimization. The role ensures that procurement activities deliver value, support operational continuity, mitigate supply chain risks, and comply with Company governance, procurement policies, and commercial best practices.
This position focuses on strategic sourcing and contracting activities rather than routine purchasing operations.
Minimum qualification
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in: Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Business Administration, Commerce, Engineering Or a related discipline.
Preferred Certifications
- CIPS (Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply)
- CPSM (Certified Professional in Supply Management)
- APICS / CSCP
- MBA (Advantageous)
Required Experience
- Minimum 10 years' experience in Procurement or Supply Chain Management.
- At least 5 years in a management position.
- Experience within mining, heavy industry, manufacturing or oil & gas operations is preferred.
- Proven experience leading strategic sourcing, tendering, supplier negotiations and contract management.
- Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, JDE or Pronto.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end sourcing and contracting activities for operational goods and services.
- Develop sourcing strategies aligned with business objectives and operational requirements.
- Manage RFQs, RFPs, tenders and commercial evaluations.
- Lead supplier negotiations and contract award processes.
- Coordinate supplier onboarding and contract administration activities.
- Ensure contracts contain appropriate commercial terms, KPIs, service levels and governance requirements.
- Monitor supplier performance and support contractor governance.
- Ensure compliance with procurement policies, Delegation of Authority (DOA) and audit requirements.
- Identify procurement risks and implement mitigation strategies.
- Drive procurement cost optimization and value creation initiatives.
- Support ESG and sustainable sourcing initiatives.
- Lead, mentor and develop the Procurement team while promoting continuous improvement and customer service excellence.
- Ensure compliance with Glencore's environmental management requirements and procedures as well as MUMI SARL's environmental policy.
