Job Description

 

The Data Analysis & Reporting Manager is responsible for compiliation, validation, analysis, and interpretation of operational and business data to generate accurate, timely, and meaningful reports that support decision-making across KCC value chain. The role ensures that validated data is processed according to defined standards, reporting frameworks and timelines are adhered to, and actionable insights are provided to improve performance, efficiency, and compliance.

He/She will have, among other things, the following responsibilities (non-exhaustive list):

 

  • Manage a team of Data analysts to gather data from multiple systems, databases, and operational sources.
  • Ensure that data accuracy, completeness, and consistency are verified through quality checks and validation processes.
  • Ensure alignment with operational and Planning teams to resolve discrepancies or missing information.
  • Analyse operational, technical, and financial data to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies.
  • Provide variance analysis against budgets, forecasts, and historical performance.
  • Develop insights that support continuous improvement initiatives and strategic decision-making.
  • Prepare daily, weekly, monthly, and ad-hoc reports in accordance with reporting standards.
  • Defining and tracking core business KPIs
  • Design and maintain interactive dashboards and visualisations (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Excel).
  • Standardise reporting formats across departments for consistent interpretation.
  • Partner with departments (e.g., operations, finance, planning, and technical services) to understand data needs and provide relevant analysis.
  • Present findings and recommendations to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Support governance frameworks to ensure data security, compliance, and confidentiality.
  • Identify opportunities to automate reporting processes and integrate systems for improved efficiency.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of data and reporting standards across KCC value chain.
  • Support training and capability building of the team of data analysis on data literacy and reporting tools.

 

 

 

Job Requirements

 

Qualifications and experience

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in data analytics, mining or processing engineering.
  • Qualification in Data Analytics, Statistics, or related field.
  • Experience in data analysis, business intelligence, or reporting roles, ideally in a mining.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools (Power BI, Tableau, Excel, SQL).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills to convey complex data in clear, concise terms. Knowledge of English is critical for the role.
