KCC SA exploits copper and cobalt ores on a large scale. It includes an underground mine, open-pit mines and integrated metallurgical facilities. The operation has one of the largest copper reserves in the world, with a current life of over 25 years.

Job description.
Under the direct supervision of the Director of Strategic Minerals ; the incumbent is responsible for ensuring the strategic acquisition of goods and services necessary for the long-term growth and operational efficiency of the company.
The main objective is to optimize capital expenditures (CapEx), mitigate risks and effectively secure the resources required to support project development and ongoing operations, thereby contributing to the company's financial strength and strategic objectives.
His/Her essential functions will include, among others (but are not limited to):
1. Strategic sourcing and cost optimization:
• Develop and implement procurement strategies for major capital investments (heavy mining equipment, processing facilities, infrastructure, etc.).
• Identify reliable suppliers, negotiate favorable terms and take advantage of global sourcing opportunities to reduce costs without compromising quality or delivery times.
2. Risk management and mitigation :
• Identify and mitigate risks associated with investment projects (CapEx), including supply chain disruptions, commodity price volatility, exchange rate fluctuations, and geopolitical risks.
3. Supplier relationship management :
• Establish and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and contractors.
• Evaluate and rank suppliers, improve the quality of strategic partners and, where appropriate, streamline the supplier base.
• Define contractual strategies, decide on the opportunity to integrate new players from emerging markets and promote sustainable and mutually beneficial relationships, capable of withstanding economic cycles.
4. Compliance and sustainability :
• Ensure that investment decisions (CapEx) are consistent with sustainability objectives, ESG policies and local and international regulatory requirements.
5. Data-driven decision-making :
• Leveraging data and digital technologies to improve procurement processes, investment planning, and overall departmental efficiency.
6. Cross-functional collaboration and compliance:
• Collaborating closely with internal stakeholders, leading cross-functional teams and ensuring compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements and global sourcing standards, including ESG and sustainability policies.
• Ensure that procurement strategies are aligned with project objectives and the company's financial priorities.
7. Innovation and transformation :
• Develop and implement innovative approaches to meet operational needs in a dynamic and constantly evolving environment.
8. Team management :
• To manage and develop the skills of the procurement teams.
• To ensure the ongoing training and professional development of employees.
• Oversee performance, coaching and feedback to foster high-performing, engaged and motivated teams.
Job requirements.
Qualifications and experience.
• Hold a university or higher degree in business administration, supply chain management, engineering or contract management;
• Have at least ten (10) years of relevant experience in the field of purchasing, strategic sourcing or capital expenditure (CapEx) project management;
• Demonstrate at least 5 years of proven experience in a leadership role in procurement;
• Have a minimum of 3 years of experience in the mining or heavy industries, ideally in a CapEx project environment;
• Proven experience in negotiating complex contracts, managing strategic suppliers and leading procurement projects with high financial stakes.
• Have a valid ONEM card.

• Procurement strategy and cost optimization: Develop and execute effective CapEx purchasing strategies, aligned with business objectives.
• Supplier management and negotiation: Identify, evaluate and manage strategic suppliers, negotiate complex and long-term contracts.
