Job description

 

 

Under the supervision of the Senior Logistics Controller - Reagents , the incumbent will be responsible for ensuring the operational coordination, monitoring and continuous availability of reagents required for operations, from supply planning and the pre-shipment phase to receipt, customs clearance and delivery to the plant, while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, HSE, logistics deadlines and internal procedures applicable to chemicals critical to mine performance.

 

 

He/She will have, among other things, the following responsibilities (non-exhaustive):

 


•    Coordinate pre-shipment inspections of reagents with shippers, suppliers and freight forwarders (BIVAC).
•    Verify and process correctly the RFI forms submitted by suppliers.

•    Check the consistency of Inspection Reports (IR) and post-inspection information.
•    Monitor the issuance of preliminary notifications and Verification Attestations (VAs), and resolve any queries .
•    Check the compliance of AVs with validated licenses (tariff positions, quantities, unit prices).

•    Confirm the allocation of customs agencies according to the volumes to be imported/exported and the approved allocation keys.
•    Send, receive, control and validate pre-alerts before truck dispatch and record information in Seguce and internal logistics systems.
•    Follow the generation of transit documents (TR8 / T1) within the regulatory deadlines after arrival at the borders.

•    Supervise post-shipment border operations for reagent shipments.
•    Ensure compliance with border transit deadlines → site and the completeness of documents for customs clearance.
•    Monitor the entry of consumption declarations and maintain an average customs clearance time on site.

•    Participate in the performance evaluation of customs agencies, carriers and border representatives.
•    Ensure regulatory compliance of imports/exports and maintain continuous customs and regulatory monitoring.
•    Assist during internal and external audits related to customs operations.

•   Produce detailed reporting on shipments, timelines, status and performance, and communicate effectively with all stakeholders, escalating blockages if necessary.

 

 

Job requirements 

 

Qualifications and experience

 

•    Hold a university degree in Logistics, Operations Management, Supply Chain, Economics, Finance or any other equivalent discipline.

•  Possess a minimum of 4 years of professional experience in managing logistics operations, international transit or supplying sensitive/chemical materials.
•    Have a solid understanding of customs clearance procedures and local and international customs regulations.
•    Have practical knowledge of the management of licenses and documents related to the import/export of chemicals or sensitive goods.

 

 

Technical skills.

 

•    Mastering ERP systems and logistics management software (SEGUCE or equivalent).
•    Ability to read, understand and verify technical and regulatory documents (RI, AV, pre-alerts, RFI forms, TR8/T1, etc.).
•    Having a keen sense of compliance, accuracy and rigor to ensure adherence to HSE, regulatory and internal standards.

•     Proficiency in office software, particularly Excel for tracking, analyzing and reporting operations.
•   Possess strong communication and coordination skills to collaborate with suppliers, freight forwarders, customs agencies, and internal stakeholders.

•   The ability to communicate in french and english, both verbally and in writing would be an asset.
