Mutanda Mining (MUMI S.A.R.L) is a mining company whose registered office is at No. 4746, Avenue Laurent Désiré Kabila, Mutoshi District, Manika Commune, City of Kolwezi. Its operating headquarters, the center of its main activities, is located about 42 km from the city of Kolwezi in the province of Lualaba in the Democratic Republic of Congo.

MUMI S.A.R.L is an open-pit mining site used for the extraction of copper and cobalt ores. Mutanda Mining has a hydrometallurgical plant and a sulfuric acid manufacturing plant.

MUMI is recruiting a: Learning & Development Coordinator

Main objectives of the position

 

Under the direct supervision of the Learning & Development Superintendent, the Learning & Development Coordinator is responsible for the overall design, implementation, and management of Mutanda’s learning and development programs. The incumbent will ensure that training initiatives are aligned with organizational goals, talent development priorities, and compliance requirements. This role includes supervising trainers, coordinating with operational departments, and driving continuous improvement of learning interventions across MUMI.

 

Minimum qualification

 

  • Possess a university degree in Human Resource Management, Organizational Development, Psychology, Education, or a related field.

 

Required Experience

 

  • Minimum of Five (5) years of progressive experience in Learning & Development, Talent Management, or Organizational Development roles.
  • Proven experience in designing, coordinating, and evaluating training and development programs in a corporate or industrial environment.
  • Previous experience in a leadership or supervisory role within an L&D team.

 

Required skills

 

  • Certificate in Andragogy.
  • Certification in training, facilitation, or organizational learning (e.g., CPLP, CIPD, or equivalent).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS).
  • Strong interpersonal and intercultural communication skills.
  • Excellent planning, organizational, and project management skills.
  • Fluency in French; fluency in English is a strong asset.
  • Strong analytical, reporting, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to coach, mentor, and develop others.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Coordinate, supervise, and support trainers in the delivery of learning and development programs.
  • Lead the design and implementation of training strategies, ensuring alignment with organizational needs and talent development plans.
  • Establish and monitor training KPIs, preparing accurate reports and statistics for management decision-making.
  • Develop and manage annual training calendars and budgets.
  • Evaluate training effectiveness, implement improvements, and ensure knowledge transfer.
  • Partner with line managers and HR to identify skills gaps and propose relevant training solutions.
  • Drive initiatives related to leadership development, succession planning, and competency management.
  • Comply with Glencore's environmental management requirements and procedures as well as MUMI SARL's enviromental policy
