Kamoto Copper Company Société Anonyme, KCC SA in acronym, is a Congolese company operating in Kolwezi, capital of the province of Lualaba, in the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
KCC SA exploits copper and cobalt ores on a large scale. It includes an underground mine, open-pit mines and integrated metallurgical facilities. The operation has one of the largest copper reserves in the world, with a current life of over 25 years.

Under the direct supervision of the Superintendent HS Systems and Improvement, the post holder will be a key driver in managing our safety systems data. His primary responsibility will be to design, implement, and maintain a comprehensive health and safety data management system that will enhance our organizational safety performance. His role will focus on creating dashboards, generating reports, supporting health and safety management systems and coordinating health and safety initiatives across the organization, ensuring effective communication and compliance with safety regulations.
He/She will have, among other things, the following essential functions (non-exhaustive):
- Development and maintenance of H&S systems and processes:
- Set up an effective system for health and safety data management.
- Understand the health and safety management system and set up easy-to-follow guides and training packs.
- Provide technical support and training to users of the health and safety data systems.
- Design and develop the HSE Dashboards for daily, weekly, and monthly reports.
- Link the health and safety management system to Power BI and run reports without manual manipulation.
- Maintain and update health and safety data systems, ensuring data integrity and accuracy.
- Analyze health and safety data to identify trends, risks, and areas for improvement.
- Create and maintain reports for health and safety leading and lagging indicators.
- Create and maintain Health and Safety SharePoint site
- Ensure accurate data entry, storage, and retrieval for health and safety incidents.
- Regularly update the system to reflect changes in regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Communication and Reporting:
- Manage incident alerts, lessons learned, safety toolbox talks, and daily communications through the designated channel.
- Develop effective ways to communicate health and safety objectives and learnings from other sites
- Support the site wide Health and safety campaigns where required.
- Set up a process of producing good quality toolbox talks and videos internally.
- Technology Integration:
- Utilize technology to improve health and safety practices, enhancing data accuracy and reporting efficiency.
- Stay up to date with emerging technologies, including AI and other innovations, to assess their potential integration into health and safety processes.
- Collaboration and Improvement:
- Work closely with the Health and Safety team to support various initiatives and projects.
- Proactively identify opportunities for improvement.
- Assist with contracts, CMF, and other ORB requests.
