Job description.
Under the direct supervision of the Employee Services Supervisor, The incumbent will be responsible for the daily upkeep of the gardens, green spaces, and surrounding areas of the Management Village. They will participate in planting, watering, mowing, weeding, and general maintenance, while respecting current safety and environmental standards. They will play a key role in maintaining a clean, pleasant, and well-kept working environment.
He/She will have, among other things, the following essential functions (non-exhaustive):
• Ensure lawn mowing, hedge trimming, weeding, collection of plant waste and general cleanliness of outdoor spaces.
• Prepare the soil, plant flowers, trees or shrubs and contribute to the beautification of the site according to the established development plans.
• Collaborate with the HSE team to disseminate prevention messages, assist with spraying insecticides in targeted areas, and install plant repellents in gardens.
• Identify and eliminate stagnant water points that could serve as breeding grounds for mosquitoes (blocked gutters, abandoned pots, long-lasting puddles, etc.).
• Clean, store and report any anomalies in gardening, treatment or disinfection equipment.
• Document the interventions carried out (maintenance, treatments, elimination of larval breeding sites, etc.) and transmit them to the hierarchy.
• Wear personal protective equipment (PPE), follow safety instructions, and report any incidents or potential hazards .
• Carry out sowing and planting of flowers, shrubs, vegetables or herbs, in accordance with the established development plans.
• Handle mowers, pruning shears, rakes, garden hoses and other tools in accordance with safety standards.
• Contribute to the cultivation and maintenance of vegetable garden areas intended for internal decorative or culinary use.
Job requirements .
Qualifications and experience.
• Hold a Professional Aptitude Certificate (BAP), or a state diploma.
• Have at least 2 years of experience in gardening, horticulture or landscape maintenance (desired)
• Good physical condition and ability to perform manual work outdoors
• Basic knowledge of gardening techniques (watering, pruning, fertilizing, etc.)
• Ability to follow precise instructions and work in a team
• Willingness to work outdoors, in all weather conditions
Technical skills.
• Know how to use manual gardening tools (pruning shears, spades, rakes, etc.).
• Have a basic knowledge of mowing, watering, weeding and pruning techniques.
• Understand the basic principles of manual irrigation systems.
• Identify signs of disease or infestation in plants.
• Apply safety rules when using gardening products or equipment.

• Have a positive and proactive attitude towards manual work.
• Be rigorous and attentive to details in the execution of tasks.
