Watu Wetu SAS, WW SAS in acronym, is a company under Congolese law operating in Kolwezi, capital of the province of Lualaba in the Democratic Republic of Congo, with the main activity of managing a medical service for businesses and A training center. WW SAS serves the companies Kamoto Copper Company SA and Mutanda Mining SARL which are its main shareholders.
The company covers the medical care of all employees of these two companies as well as their family members.
WW SAS comprises three facilities, namely Watu Wetu Clinic in Mumi, Watu Wetu City Site and Watu Wetu Hospital in KCC. With additional services provided by third-party healthcare facilities for employees and dependents located in Lubumbashi and Kinshasa, as well as those referred for specialized treatment not available in Kolwezi.
Watu Wetu SAS provides health services to a population of approximately 70,000 people.

Job Description
Under the direct supervision of the Clinic Coordinator and Senior Nurse, the incumbent will be required to work closely with general practitioners and other healthcare providers to provide acute and long-term care to patients. Nurses assist patients upon arrival at the clinic or hospital by collecting patient information, assisting in patient assessment, administering treatments and medications as needed, and educating patients. As a member of the medical staff, he/she is responsible for providing high-quality, safe, competent, effective, and well-being-focused medical care to the population served.
He will have, among other things, the following responsibilities (non-exhaustive) :
- Supervise the room, while participating in the administration of medical care (internal)
- Ensure all required data is collected and appropriate before registration in Pro-Clin.
- Support other staff members by assisting them with check-in and ensuring that check-in is accurate and compliant with our policy. ( Work as a team while respecting company procedures)
- Carry out technical and administrative tasks (maintaining patient documents in the room)
- Participate in patient admissions by asking questions about their medical history and medications to gain a comprehensive understanding of their current medical needs and medical history.
- Assist and assist the general practitioner in preparing the equipment and instruments required by the doctor and assisting him in procedures during the patient's stay.
- Help and/or assist women in labor to give birth
- Providing direct patient care including administering medications or treatments, such as changing surgical dressings, applying topical treatments, or administering medications
- Interact with patients throughout the day and regularly liaise between patients, physicians and patient representatives, such as family members.
- Participate in emergency treatment (resuscitation, stabilization and assessment assistance) if necessary.
- Assessment/prioritization of the urgency and severity of presenting problems through history taking and examination prior to referral to the GP or appropriate service.
- Take vital signs, administer medications, record, document patient care plan and bedside nursing care.
- Conduct health screenings and advice
- Participate in the education, counseling, and information of patients on health matters on ways to improve health, prevent disease, and apply interventions or treatments that act on risk factors. (Health Education)
- Family planning services, contraceptive counseling and sexual health services.
- Implementation of vaccination programs.
- Collaborate with public health service providers in the prevention and control of communicable diseases.
- Assist in the ongoing care and support of clients with chronic and terminal illnesses to reduce deterioration, increase independence and reduce suffering by linking, where appropriate, with appropriate service providers
- Participate in daily ward rounds with physicians, reporting and discussing key questions and helpful observations, diagnosis, treatment and discharge planning.
- Participate in decision-making and patient care planning, communicate with the patient and those accompanying them to ensure the success of treatment plans.
- Carry out adequate handover and recovery with the next work team regarding rotating positions to ensure continuity of health plans and safety of care.
- Monitoring patient test results and communicating with patients as appropriate.
- Home and hospital visits as needed. (Public Health Duties)
- Maintain sufficient stocks of consumables in all treatment, care and consultation rooms, ensuring that no item has passed its expiry date
- Maintain the adequate level (minimum and maximum) of medications in all departments and ensure that no item exceeds its expiry date.
- Take inventory at the end of each month (See Senior Nurse)
- Ensure that the emergency trolley, care equipment and materials, and the ambulance are well stocked and properly kept ready for emergencies
- All patient consultations must be accurately recorded in clinical notes and in Pro-Clin within 24 hours of contact. This includes recordings of in-person and remote conversations (phone and email).
