Kamoto Copper Company Société Anonyme, KCC SA in acronym, is a Congolese company operating in Kolwezi, capital of the province of Lualaba, in the Democratic Republic of the Congo.

KCC SA exploits copper and cobalt ores on a large scale. It includes an underground mine, open-pit mines and integrated metallurgical facilities. The operation has one of the largest copper reserves in the world, with a current life of over 25 years.

Under the direct supervision of the Information System Superintendent, the incumbent will be responsible for analyzing user needs, writing detailed functional specifications, translating business needs into clear and understandable technical requirements, identifying possible improvements in existing processes and proposing solutions. The position also includes writing technical documentation and intelligent reports, developing new processes, modules or functionalities.


His responsibilities will include, among others (non-exhaustive list):


•    Develop new features or modules for internal applications, based on user needs and defined specifications.
•    Write detailed technical specifications for new features and developments.
•    Ensure end-to-end development, from coding to production.
•    Identify areas for improvement in existing applications and propose optimization solutions.
•    Conduct a needs analysis.
•    Gather critical information from meetings with various stakeholders and produce useful reports.
•    Work closely with customers, technicians and management staff.
•    Ensure that solutions meet business needs and requirements.
•    Conducting user acceptance testing.
•    Manage projects, develop project plans and monitor performance.
•    Evaluate processes and systems to comply with IT security policies.
•    Provide technical support to users (internal) to resolve application issues.
•    Diagnose and resolve technical incidents within the allotted time.
•    Write user guides and procedures to facilitate the use of applications
•    Ensure data confidentiality and compliance with current regulations
•    Measure the quality of the application/report/processes developed.
•    Drive continuous improvement of daily processes used, projects and software applications.


Job Requirements 


Qualifications and experience


•    Hold a university degree in computer systems software engineering, or in a similar discipline (Bac+3, Bac+5 or equivalent).
•    5 years of experience in application development
•    Experience in full-stack development (combination of front-end and back-end ).
•    Knowledge of Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) would be appreciated
•    Strong communication skills: English and French.


    Technical skills:


•    Proficiency in programming languages (eg: Java, Python, C#, ASP.NET, etc. ).
•    Strong knowledge of relational and non-relational database management (SSMS, MySQL, etc.).
•    Proficient in using ERP and workflow management systems.
•    Skilled in all MS Office products.
•    Experience using data visualization tools (Ex: Power BI).
•    Experience in technical support and resolving complex problems
