Kamoto Copper Company Société Anonyme, KCC SA in acronym, is a Congolese company operating in Kolwezi, capital of the province of Lualaba, in the Democratic Republic of Congo.

Under the direct supervision of the Superintendent – Underground Mobile Equipment Maintenance, the role of the incumbent will be to provide specialized technical expertise in the diagnosis and repair of breakdowns affecting underground drilling rigs. He/She will intervene on complex failures in order to reduce downtime and improve equipment reliability. The position involves the use of technical data, schematics, manufacturer's manuals and diagnostic instruments to identify the causes of failures. He/She will contribute to the elimination of recurring breakdowns and the improvement of maintenance practices. He/She will also play an important role in the support and development of mechanics.
He/She will have, among others, the following essential functions (non-exhaustive):
- Drive the diagnosis of complex failures. This includes the systematic analysis of failures of Sandvik drills and their associated systems.
- Provide technical support during major repairs. This includes technical guidance to teams during complex interventions.
- Identify the root causes of failures. This includes analyzing failure modes, equipment history, and operating conditions.
- Verify the quality of repairs. This includes post-repair inspections, functional testing, and pre-return safety verification.
- Contribute to the reduction of downtime. This includes improving methods for diagnosing, repairing and recovering equipment.
- Eliminate recurring failures. This includes identifying equipment or components with repetitive problems and proposing corrective actions.
- Provide technical feedback to maintenance planning. This includes the transmission of information necessary to prepare for future interventions.
- Ensure the documentation of failures. This includes recording causes, repairs, parts used, residual defects and actions to be taken in SAP.
- Provide support to manufacturers' technical representatives. This includes conveying diagnostic information needed for technical analysis and escalations.
- Develop the skills of maintenance teams. This includes coaching mechanics in advanced troubleshooting and repair methods.
