Kamoto Copper Company Société Anonyme, KCC SA in acronym, is a Congolese company operating in Kolwezi, capital of the province of Lualaba, in the Democratic Republic of Congo.
KCC SA exploits copper and cobalt ores on a large scale. It includes an underground mine, open-pit mines and integrated metallurgical facilities. The operation has one of the largest copper reserves in the world, with a current life of over 25 years.

Reporting directly to the ERT Manager, the role of the incumbent will be to provide advanced medical care in emergency situations, intervening quickly to stabilize patients on-site. They will be responsible for administering specialized treatments, such as intubation, airway management, and cardiac resuscitation. They will also be required to assess the clinical status of victims, prioritize treatment, and make critical decisions under pressure. Working closely with the medical team and emergency services, they will ensure the safe and efficient transport of patients to the appropriate healthcare facilities.
He/She will have, among other things, the following essential functions (non-exhaustive):
- Oversee day-to-day medical operations, including staff management, service scheduling, and protocol enforcement.
- Carry out complex medical interventions, particularly in trauma and resuscitation, both on site and in the event of incidents.
- Provide medical training (CPR, AED, first aid) to incident response teams and company personnel.
- Design and update medical protocols, emergency procedures and quality standards, in compliance with current regulations.
- Write regular reports on medical activities, incidents and health statistics.
- Manage the supply, maintenance and distribution of medical equipment.
- Contribute to the design and implementation of the company's emergency plan. This involves working closely with security teams and the ability to coordinate responses during major incidents.
- Develop health prevention and promotion programs within the company.
