Mutanda Mining (MUMI S.A.R.L) is a mining company whose registered office is at No. 4746, Avenue Laurent Désiré Kabila, Mutoshi District, Manika Commune, City of Kolwezi. Its operating headquarters, the center of its main activities, is located about 42 km from the city of Kolwezi in the province of Lualaba in the Democratic Republic of Congo.
MUMI S.A.R.L is an open-pit mining site used for the extraction of copper and cobalt ores. Mutanda Mining has a hydrometallurgical plant and a sulfuric acid manufacturing plant.

Main objectives of the position
Under the direct supervision of the Integration Training Coordinator, the incumbent is responsible for developing and delivering Occupational Health, Safety and Health training to all employees, as well as onboarding training for new employees, to meet the requirements of MUMI's SafeWork V2 standard.
Minimum qualification
- Possess a university degree in the field of learning and development or related fields such as psychology and human resource management or a similar field
Required Experience
- Minimum five (5) years of experience in integrated occupational health, health and safety training, preferably in a mining industry.
Required skills

- Good command of French. Fluency in English will be a major asset.
- Knowledge of adult learning and development processes and techniques.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suit (MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
- Problem-solving skills
- Planning and organizational skills
Key Responsibilities
- Work collaboratively with other occupational health and safety trainers, as well as the occupational health and safety department in the development and delivery of training.
- Develop and implement occupational safety training, in accordance with Glencore and MUMI Safework policies and procedures.
- Provide the required occupational safety training to all MUMI employees and contractors.
- Assess training needs.
- Update training records (i.e., individual employee records, compliance statistics).
- Maintain complete training records for employees to record health and safety training activities and proficiency checks, in accordance with mining requirements and occupational safety policy.
- Provide monthly HS training reports indicating progress and compliance with the HS training plan.
- Comply with Glencore's environmental management requirements and procedures as well as MUMI SARL's environmental policy.
