Mutanda Mining (MUMI S.A.R.L) is a mining company whose registered office is at No. 4746, Avenue Laurent Désiré Kabila, Mutoshi District, Manika Commune, City of Kolwezi. Its operating headquarters, the center of its main activities, is located about 42 km from the city of Kolwezi in the province of Lualaba in the Democratic Republic of Congo.

MUMI S.A.R.L is an open-pit mining site used for the extraction of copper and cobalt ores. Mutanda Mining has a hydrometallurgical plant and a sulfuric acid manufacturing plant.

MUMI is recruiting the Occupational Health and Safety Systems Analyst

Main objectives of the position

 

Under the supervision of the Health and Safety Superintendent, the Health and Safety Systems Analyst is responsible for collecting, compiling, analyzing, and managing health and safety data. He/She is also tasked with preparing health and safety reports and presentations.

 

Minimum qualification

Bachelor’s degree in occupational health, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.

 

Required Experience

 

Minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience in a similar position.

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Enter MUMI’s HSE data into Glencore’s Business Practices Database.
  • Manage the Enablon Action Management System, including data entry, tracking, and analysis.
  • Analyze leading and lagging health and safety indicators using predefined tools and formats, and present clear findings.
  • Translate the annual OHS plan into an operational calendar, integrating objectives and key meetings.
  • Upload audits and action plans into Enablon, monitor progress, and reassign deadlines in consultation with management.
  • Plan activities or delegate them to other actions, ensuring compliance with established deadlines.
  • Generate and distribute regular reports from the Enablon system to management.
  • Send reminders to managers regarding overdue or upcoming actions within the management systems.
  • Report on the compliance level of critical controls associated with major risks.
  • Adhere to Glencore’s environmental procedures and requirements, as well as MUMI S.A.R.L.’s current environmental policy.
