Mutanda Mining (MUMI S.A.R.L) is a mining company whose registered office is at No. 4746, Avenue Laurent Désiré Kabila, Mutoshi District, Manika Commune, City of Kolwezi. Its operating headquarters, the center of its main activities, is located about 42 km from the city of Kolwezi in the province of Lualaba in the Democratic Republic of Congo.
MUMI S.A.R.L is an open-pit mining site used for the extraction of copper and cobalt ores. Mutanda Mining has a hydrometallurgical plant and a sulfuric acid manufacturing plant.

Main objectives of the position
Under the direct supervision of the Department Team Leader, the incumbent will be responsible for the movement and storage of produced copper, blanks and anodes using a forklift. He/she will ensure all the movement of materials along the production and maintenance lines.
Minimum qualification
- Possess a state diploma
- Forklift certification would be an asset
Required Experience
- One year (1) of experience as a forklift operator in a mining environment.
Required skills
- Ability to solve problems. Communicative spirit
- The ability to withstand stress is important.
- National driver's license is required.
- Good intercultural, verbal and written communication in French.
Key Responsibilities
- Communicate and work with field operators to assist them in their heavy load handling tasks.
- Ensure that the copper packages produced are properly stored to facilitate access and collection by the export team.
- Notify the supervisor of any deviations found during the inspection or during the use of the equipment
- Work by strictly following the 9 rescue behaviors and the 4 golden rules of safety
- Understand the 12 Fatal Hazard Protocols (PHFs) and apply those related to your work environment, such as FHP1, FHP3, FHP4, FHP6, FHP8, and FHP11
- Complete the SLAM rating daily and do not perform work that does not meet the required criteria
- Attend sessions of the Security Conference, GCOM and JSA
- Use all authorized tools such as work stoppage, whistleblower to prevent incidents and accidents and support the company's vision of zero incidents and non-corruption.
- Comply with Glencore's environmental management requirements and procedures as well as MUMI SARL's environmental policy.
