Junior Engineer – CEO Support –

Main Objective of the Position

Provide analytical, operational and management support to the CEO, collaborating in the monitoring of strategic projects, analysis of key business information, preparation of executive reports and coordination of transversal initiatives, with a focus on providing order, visibility and monitoring of management priorities.

 

Operational Context

The position is held within a large-scale mining project that brings together multidisciplinary teams and multiple internal and external stakeholders: contractors, suppliers, local communities and regulatory bodies. As a direct support to the CEO, the Jr. Engineer will work in a high-visibility, fast-paced environment, where the ability to prioritize, communicate clearly, and remain calm under pressure are key. It is a position with high exposure and learning, ideal for a profile with potential, an interest in understanding the business in a comprehensive way and developing close to decision-making.

 

Qualifications

  • Graduated or about to graduate from Industrial Engineering, Mining Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering or related careers.
  • 0-2 years of experience in analytical, planning, project, or continuous improvement positions.
  • Very good handling of Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Intermediate/Advanced English (oral and written)
  • Experience in mining, industry, energy or highly demanding corporate environments will be valued.
  • Availability for eventual trips, if necessary.

  • Organization of tasks and rigorous monitoring of deadlines and commitments.

  • Good judgment in handling sensitive and confidential information, assessing risks and acting with discretion and judgment.
  • Flexibility, dynamism and results-orientation, prioritizing deliverables and seeking improvements to meet objectives.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple topics simultaneously, organizing work by impact and urgency and maintaining the quality of the deliverables.

  • Support the CEO in the follow-up of strategic and operational issues of the business.
  • Prepare reports, executive presentations and management reports.
  • Consolidate, analyze and monitor key indicators.
  • Coordinate and follow up on action plans with different areas.
  • Prepare information for leadership meetings, committees, and presentations.
  • Collaborate in the identification of deviations, risks and opportunities for improvement.
  • Monitor priority projects and initiatives.
  • Organize relevant information for decision-making.
  • Interact with different areas to survey progress, needs and pending issues.
  • Ensure quality, confidentiality and timeliness in the information presented.
