Purpose and objective
Ensure the timely, safe and effective availability of materials, equipment and services required by the operation of the asset, through the efficient management of inventories, warehouses, local logistics, demand planning and contracts under its management, ensuring compliance with Health, Safety, Environment and Community (HSEC) standards, operational continuity and alignment with the regional Supply Chain strategy. Maintain permanent coordination with the Regional Commercial Team, ensuring compliance with its guidelines on the Site and raising all relevant operational risks in the field and that must be managed by the Regional Supply Chain Category Team.
Technical Background, Experience and Skills
- Degree in Industrial and Commercial Civil Engineering or related careers.
- Postgraduate degree or diploma in Supply Chain or similar.
- Knowledge of operational process management supply chain in the mining or similar industry
- Knowledge of SAP ERP software - COUPA or similar
- Advanced level of Windows Office.
- Intermediate/Advanced English Level.
- Availability to work presentially in site at Antofagasta
Experience
- Minimum 8 years of experience in the Supply Chain process (logistics, warehouse management, administration of operational contracts among others) in large-scale mining or industrial environments.
- Experience in the management of contracts for services managed by the supply chain (fuel, transport or similar).
- Experience in health, safety, environmental compliance, and contractor management in operating environments.
Responsibilities
- Implement and ensure compliance with corporate policies, standards, procedures, regulatory requirements and regional guidelines for Supply Chain, HSEC and governance.
- Promote a culture of compliance, control, and risk management in all sourcing, logistics, storage, and inventory activities.
- Lead the execution of the supply, logistics, storage, inventories and materials management processes, ensuring the timely availability of goods and services to support the asset's operational plans.
- Ensure the correct implementation of the strategies and operating models defined by Regional Supply Chain.
- Maintain the integrity of physical and systemic inventories, ensure the quality of transactional and master data, and promote initiatives to optimize working capital, availability of materials, and control of repairable assets.
- Guarantee the correct generation and traceability of the information required for management and decision-making.
- Supervise the operational compliance of the contracts and commercial agreements implemented on the Site, ensuring the delivery of value committed by suppliers and compliance with safety, quality and service standards.
- Manage the operational relationship with suppliers and internal users to ensure operational continuity.
- Manage performance indicators, budgets and action plans of the area, identifying risks, deviations and opportunities for improvement that contribute to optimizing costs, increasing productivity and improving service levels.
- Timely escalate findings, risks, and opportunities that may impact the operation or supply chain to the regional team.
- Develop the technical and leadership capabilities of the team, promoting a culture of high performance, collaboration, safety and continuous improvement, aligned with corporate values and objectives
