Purpose and objective
Responsible for coordinating and planning the inventory of materials for copper operations in South America, ensuring compliance with service levels and optimization of working capital through demand analysis, predictions and adequate replacement management (excluding repairables and VHS). The role works collaboratively with the user areas, mainly maintenance, to align demand, ensure compliance with materials management policies and procedures and maintain the quality of the information in the systems (MRP parameters, criticality, replenishment, among others). In addition, it acts as a liaison between users and the regional Supply Chain management, supporting operational continuity, the monitoring of consumption commitments and the generation of information for commercial agreements and improvements in inventory management.
Technical background, experience and skills
Degree in Commercial, Industrial or related Engineering
Minimum 3 years of experience in inventory or materials management functions, Supply Chain innovation processes and similar for the mining sector.
Intermediate use of computer analysis tools such as Excel, Project, PowerPoint, Word, Access, ERP (ideally SAP).
Ability to manage implementation and coordination.
Responsibilities
1. Analyze, control and optimize the inventory in force in the region in a proactive and predictive manner.
2. Ensure compliance with the level of service and availability to the user areas, as well as promote compliance with the consumption of the materials requested by them.
3. Dynamic estimation of demand, establishing a methodology of replacement parameters and classification of materials based on their consumption behavior and maintenance strategy.
4. Monitoring of the KPIs of the area, as tools for continuous improvement.
5. Evaluate and correct the region's alignment with global policies and standards to ensure compliance with strategic objectives.
6. Implement an articulating role with the areas that make up the regional management of Supply Chain, as well as annexed areas that are part of the supply chain.
7. Frequent face-to-face attendance at operations (at least one day a week) and in the office
8. Provide information associated with materials management to the different areas that make up the regional Supply Chain management.
9. Identify and record capital materials and materials associated with obsolescence (technical, economic or physical) that allow the optimization of working capital.
10. Manage the sensitivity of inventory management in the areas used based on the impact that the non-consumption of materials, as well as other situations of this type, generate for the company
