Kamoto Copper Company Société Anonyme, KCC SA in acronym, is a Congolese company operating in Kolwezi, capital of the province of Lualaba, in the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
KCC SA exploits copper and cobalt ores on a large scale. It includes an underground mine, open-pit mines and integrated metallurgical facilities. The operation has one of the largest copper reserves in the world, with a current life of over 25 years.

Reporting directly to the Manufacturing Superintendent , the incumbent will be responsible for reviewing the quality of work, advising on design, training field teams, reviewing strategies, verifying the quality of contractors' work and improving boilermakers' tools. He will also be responsible for monitoring and reporting on the effectiveness of the quality assurance and management system, as well as managing the non-conformance process. Finally, he will work closely with the crushing manufacturing team to ensure the quality of the work performed.
He/She will have, among other things, the following essential functions (non-exhaustive list):
• Ensure operational excellence and compliance. This involves defining work scopes, assessing risks, identifying necessary resources (materials, personal protective equipment) and ensuring that all stakeholders are aligned on the objectives.
• Implement rigorous quality control throughout the production cycle. This includes regular on-site inspections, writing detailed reports, implementing corrective actions in the event of non-conformity, and working with suppliers to ensure the quality of materials and equipment.
• Optimize team performance . Train and support manufacturing teams to develop their skills and enable them to achieve production targets. This includes transmitting technical knowledge, identifying best practices and sharing expertise.
• Manage continuous improvement projects : Identify improvement opportunities and implement projects to optimize processes, reduce costs and improve productivity. This involves working closely with different teams and monitoring the progress of projects.
• Ensure regulatory compliance : Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations in force. This includes implementing security measures, conducting audits and managing incidents.
• Manage Supplier Relationships : Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers. This involves defining technical specifications, negotiating contracts, tracking deliveries and managing potential disputes.
• Analyze Data and Produce Reports : Collect and analyze production data to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities for improvement. Develop regular reports for management to inform them of team performance and ongoing projects.
• Innovate and propose new solutions: Be a driving force for improving manufacturing processes and developing new technical solutions. This involves following the latest trends in the sector and participating in research and development projects.
Job requirements .
Qualifications and experience.
• Hold a university degree in an engineering discipline (maintenance) with significant experience in quality assurance and quality control (QAQC) on large mining, industrial or construction projects.
• Have at least five (05) years of experience in a similar role within a heavy industry or mining environment.
• Experience in boilermaking work.
• Hold a job seeker card (ONEM).
Technical skills.
• Thorough knowledge of quality standards, quality assurance procedures and quality management systems (ISO 9001).
• Mastery of inspection and non-destructive testing techniques.
• Skills in writing technical reports and procedures.
• Mastery of measurement and control tools.
• Knowledge of maintenance management software (CMMS).
