Job description.
Reporting directly to the Export Operations Superintendent , the incumbent will be responsible for optimizing the management of copper cathodes and cobalt hydroxides stocks intended for export, ensuring their compliance with quality standards and ensuring the reliability of associated data. He/she will be responsible for preventing environmental risks related to storage and ensuring compliance with applicable regulations. His/her responsibilities include planning and coordinating inventories, implementing rigorous quality control procedures and managing stock data.
He/She will have, among other things, the following essential functions (non-exhaustive list):
- Completely supervise the stocks of copper and cobalt hydroxide intended for export . This includes managing transfers between the plant and the export department, carrying out regular inventories in collaboration with stakeholders (contractors, auditors), verifying the conformity of physical quantities with recorded data, as well as the conformity of storage methods with international standards and regulations in force.
- Ensure the quality of finished products before export. This includes checking the conformity of each batch with specifications, carrying out visual inspections (with supporting photos) and ensuring that the products are correctly packaged and loaded onto the correct vehicles. In the event of non-conformity, initiate the necessary corrective actions (repackaging).
- Maintain data integrity . This involves ensuring that all inventory data (quantities, product types, etc.) are accurate and consistent across information systems, documenting anomalies and implementing procedures to address them, and producing statistical reports on inventory management performance.
- Preventing environmental risks . This involves implementing the necessary measures to protect the environment and avoid penalties related to improper storage of products, hence the strict separation of bonded and non-bonded stocks, monitoring the condition of packaging and implementing rapid corrective actions in the event of deterioration.
- Monitor performance . Establish performance indicators to measure the effectiveness of inventory and quality management. Analyze these indicators and suggest improvements if necessary.
- Work closely with the various departments of the company (factory, finance, etc.) as well as with external partners (carriers, customers) to ensure good coordination of the supply chain.
- Update procedures . Ensure that inventory management and quality control procedures are up to date and comply with current standards. He must also train teams on these procedures .
- Manage documentation. Maintain all documentation related to its activities (inventory reports, photos, analyses, etc.). This documentation will serve as a reference for future audits and analyses.
