Mutanda Mining "MUMI S.A.R.L" is a mining company whose registered office is at No. 57, Avenue Lusanga, Biashara District, Municipality of Dilala, City of Kolwezi. Its headquarters, center of its main activities, is located more or less 42km from the city of Kolwezi in the province of Lualaba in the Democratic Republic of Congo. "MUMI S.A.R.L" is an open-pit mining site used for the extraction of copper and cobalt ores. Mutanda Mining has a hydro-metallurgical plant and a sulfuric acid manufacturing plant. MUMI is recruiting " Technicians - Instrumentation "

Main objectives of the position

Under the direct supervision of the Supervisor - Instrumentation & Automation, the incumbent of this position will be responsible for carrying out installations, maintenance, testing and calibration of the equipment used at the processing plant to collect process variables within the MUMI SARL operating plant.

Minimum qualification

• A degree in electrical engineering or a similar field
• A Technical Certification in Instrumentation and Automation would be an asset.

Required Experience

• Minimum of two (2) years of experience in instrumentation, automation, and electronics.
• Experience in industrial electricity is an asset.

Required skills

• Intercultural, verbal and written communication skills in French. English is an asset.

Key Responsibilities

• Installation, commissioning and maintenance of instruments,
• Adhere to the supervisor's deployment instructions,
•  Evaluate all instrumentation and troubleshooting of equipment and control devices.
• Perform preventive maintenance to ensure equipment availability.
• Follow safety, health and environmental procedures and protocols to achieve expected results.
• Comply with Glencore's environmental management requirements and procedures as well as MUMI SARL's environmental policy.
